Once upon a time in 2022, there was a lonely bachelor, Kevin, celebrating his birthday all by his lonesome in his apartment in Watertown, NY. After texting to wish him a Happy Birthday and learning of this unfortunate fact, Sarah - Kevin's high school bully - invited him to a party that she and her family were hosting that weekend. Kevin decided, with nothing better to do, to get in his car and drive the three hours for old times sake. Sarah announced to all in her vicinity that Kevin was invited and she intended to set him up with Allison, her college roommate who was in attendance, also during her birthday weekend. Upon learning that this "Kevin" was to be her suiter, she scoffed at the idea. In her mind, this tall, skinny, blonde guy was not her "type" and was not to be entertained as a match. He was immediately written off. Upon his arrival, Kevin notices a blond haired, blue eyed beauty atop the hill - hair shimmering in the Pennsylvania autumn sun. He approaced and introduced himself. Even recognizing her preconceived notions were incorrect, she was not outwardly interested. The not tall, not skinny, and not blonde Kevin had arrived and throughout the night, she began to reconsider. To cap the night, the party decided to break out the S'mores and gather around the fire - as everyone had their fill of the sweet treat and dispursed for the night, Kevin and Allison paid no attention to the dwindelling crowd. Having been locked in uninterupted discussion about nothing for about 2 hours, they finally noticed they were the two lone party-goers left at the fire. The remainder of the weekend, they both extended their stay to ensure they would not miss a moment with the other. Sunday morning rolls around, Allison, now of course enfatuated, asks Kevin "When will I see you again?" Looking off into the distance, squinting into the sunlight, he said "I don't know - I'm in the field next week." Allison, confused, accepted this cryptic answer and they both went on their way. LONG STORY SHORT - Kevin and Allison were not expecting anything out of their birthday weekends in 2022, but ended up getting the best thing either of them could ever ask for. A Best Friend.
