FAQ

Here you will find some of our most commonly asked questions regarding the wedding.
Question

Do you have a hashtag for your wedding?

Answer

We will be using the hashtag #GroesbeckMadeAVish for all wedding-related posts on Instagram. Don't forget to tag @lordsriya and @fenderspeed in your posts, either!

Question

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, what precautions will be put in place to keep wedding guests safe?

Answer

To encourage as much social distancing as possible, all of the wedding events will be held outside with guests requested to wear their masks over their nose and mouth at all times unless eating or drinking. Additionally, the temperature of guests will be taken upon arrival at the wedding venue. Guests will also be asked if they have experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 at any time in the 14 days preceding the event and if they have traveled outside of the country immediately prior to the event. While we are not requiring guests to be fully vaccinated in order to attend the event, we would like the guests to be aware that the entire wedding party will be fully vaccinated by the time of the event. If, at the time of the wedding, any ordinances are put in place by the state and governor of Michigan to limit the spread of COVID-19, guests will be updated accordingly.

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will follow the Hindu traditions of the bride's family. Each step in the wedding traditions of India is rich in ritual, symbolism, and detail, and we are incredibly excited to share this experience with our guests who may not be familiar with them.

Question

I would love to be able to celebrate with you in person, but I'm genuinely worried and hesitant about coming. Will you be upset if I am unable to attend?

Answer

We absolutely understand that everyone's health and safety is paramount and of top priority, and we fully respect every personal choice made to stay safe during these unprecedented times. We will be livestreaming the wedding, so if watching the wedding virtually is the best option for you please know we respect and support your decision wholeheartedly. (For those who are curious, the link to the livestream will be distributed via email. If possible, a link will also be added to this website.)

Question

Where can I watch the livestream of the wedding?

Answer

You can watch the wedding at the following livestream link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHXGCfYLvL0 The wedding and livestream will both begin at 9:00 AM EST. If you are unable to celebrate with us in person, we hope you will able to do so virtually — and don't forget to tag us on all the social medias when you do!
