We’re getting married!!

We met in 2014 while attending the University of Kentucky. While Brittany and I had been hanging around the same friend group for the past few years, we had never really gotten to know one another. We had both worked at Idle Hour Country Club the past couple of summers. When she was lifeguarding, I would sometimes drive the golf cart by the pool to try and catch her attention. She was by far the most beautiful girl at the country club, and I could only dream to one day build up the courage to ask her out. One Summer night at a bar near campus, Brittany confessed she had a crush on me. Little did she know, she had caught my eye long before this confession. Even though we worked at the same club, it took months for me to chase her down to be able to ask her out after her confession. Finally, we ran into each other at a friend’s house and struck up a conversation. Days later I asked her to go on our first date at a local pizza spot in downtown Lexington, Pies and Pints. Sparks flew and the rest is history!

On our 3rd day in Barcelona, Hunter said he had something planned that he wouldn’t tell me what it was. We had been taking the metro the past 2 days for transportation and this morning Hunter had ordered a cab. I could tell Hunter was a little nervous in the cab because he wasn’t saying a word (which is very unlike him). Little did I know, he had taken a shot in the back of the cab to get rid of some of those nerves. We arrived at the top of Montjuic, which was a musem on a hill overlooking the city below. The musem hadnt opened yet and the only person there was our “tour guide” (the photographer), as Hunter finally confessed that we were taking a tour of the city. She suggested we take a picture in front of the skyline before we start the tour. We took one posing next to each other and then next thing I knew he was down on a knee! I suspected that maybe it was going to happen that day but I had no idea it was going to be at at the very beginning of the day, i mean it was 7am!! I was so shocked I had no idea why he was saying to me! Later that day, we both were so excited/ nervous that we couldnt even remember if he had gotten on a knee! I was so excited I took the ring out of the box and placed it on my own finger. Oops haha. Hunter had planned everything so perfectly to make sure we had someone to capture the moment and surprise me (as much as he could) ;). I was completely blown away by how much he had planned for the proposal and it made for an unforgettable trip!!
