Booking Your Flights
Step 1: Check those passports! Please ensure that your passport is valid until at least January 2026. It is required to have your passport valid at least 6 months past your time of travel. Passports can take up to 12 weeks or more once your application is submitted. Step 2: Book your flights! We recommend booking a round trip flight to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH), and then separately booking your trip to Karpathos (AOK). Depending on the flight schedule, you may need to stay at least one night in Athens. If you stay in Athens for a night, please refer to the FAQ tab for a list of hotels and activities! We recommend booking your flight to Karpathos directly through Aegean Airlines' or SKY Express' website and not through 3rd party websites. This flight will cost roughly $80 - $150 roundtrip. We recommend roughly 2+ hours in between your flight from Athens to Karpathos to ensure you get your checked bag, check your bag back in, and go through security again comfortably.

Step 3: Book your stay! We recommend staying in Lefkos, as wedding events will take place within this area. Everything is within close walking distance, including shops, restaurants, bars, and Lefkos Beach! Which happens to be the BEST beach in the WORLD!... According to Spiro. Lefkos Beach consists of 4 beaches to choose from within a 5 - 10 minute walking distance. Hotel prices are NOT like the USA: a room for the night for 2 will usually cost $50 - $90. Step 4: Sorry, but no Uber or Lyft here! Taxis are available on the island, we suggest booking any airport/hotel transfers in advance or when you arrive to the Karpathos airport. If you would like to rent a car to explore the island we recommend doing so from Hot Wheels Rent-a-Car in Lefkos. Their services include airport and hotel delivery for your convenience. If you decide to rent a car, you will need your US Drivers License. Please keep in mind that the island is very mountainous with winding roads and steep cliffs, so please drive responsibly and with care!!
