When should I book?

Answer

To Athens: We recommend you book your flight to Athens sometime between December 2024 to March 2025. If you need more time, flight prices should still be reasonably fair through late April/early May. To Karpathos: Flights to Karpathos can be booked at the same time you book your ticket to Athens. New flights to Karpathos are added in early 2025. We recommend booking this ticket sometime from December 2024 to May 2025. Please make sure your ticket includes the right weight for your checked bag if you do decide to bring one. Hotel and Rental Car: The earlier the better for peace of mind! But we assure you that there are PLENTY of options for both hotels and car rentals.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In late July/early August, Greece is hot with plenty of sunshine and rarely any rain. The average daily temperature ranges from 77°F (25°C) to 93°F (34°C).

Cash or Credit?

Answer

Euros are always good to have on hand, it's convenient for smaller transactions! But virtually all businesses in Greece/Karpathos take credit cards if you decide to not bring cash. If you do bring Euros, we recommend going to your local bank 1 week before your trip, since there is usually a 2-day processing window. There are also ATMs everywhere if you decide to bring your Debit card and want cash. Exchanges within airports are NOT recommended due to their higher fees compared to your bank. Make sure you use a travel credit card that has no international fees!

Sunglasses, Sunblock, Bathing Suits, Sandals, Beach Bag & Towel! With over 20 beaches in Karpathos, we're going to be doing a lot of swimming! Lefkos alone has 4+ beaches to choose from within a 5 minute walking distance!

what kind of clothes?

Light fabrics are strongly recommended! For the guys, we suggest a few pairs of pants for dinners/nights out/wedding events, but otherwise pack plenty of light clothes so you're comfortable in the daytime heat!

It's always easiest to add an international plan for the day's you're in Greece. If needed, Wi-Fi is available when on the go at restaurants and cafes. Phone service is reliable virtually everywhere you go. eSIMs are also available if you choose!
