Like the many millennials before us, we met on the dating app Hinge and went on our first date on August 14th 2020. We bonded over our love for soccer and the fact that we both went to Central Michigan University but never met while we were there! Because we had so much in common, we decided it would be best to just be friends. That lasted about 6 months. Spenser saw Catherine kick everyone's butt at Mario Kart at a super bowl party and decided he had to ask her to be his. On February 7th 2021 they became official and the rest is history!

Growing up, one of Catherine's favorite things in the world was cake. Her current initials are CAK (Catherine Ann Kelley) so she always used to joke that she loved cake so much that she was going to marry someone with the last name E so she could have it be her initials. Well, it's actually happening! Once her and Spenser get married she's going to become Catherine Ann Kelley Emerson aka CAKE!
