Question

I am unsure about where and how I should book my accommodations, where can I find more information?

Answer

If you have already visited and read the Travel and Accommodations section and are still looking for assistance, please reach out to Noah, Carly, Samantha and Abby(MOHs), Lynn, or Teresa with any questions.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Average daily high temps are 65 degrees with an average low of 47 degrees at night. The sun is hot and can make temps feel slightly higher when outside during the day. Another thing to be aware of at higher altitudes is the sun. You are 9,700 feet closer to the sun and you will get sun burnt if sunscreen is not worn when participating in outdoor activities.

Question

Since Copper Mountain is around 9,700 ft elevation, what should I be aware of when staying at high altitude?

Answer

Altitude Sickness- Without proper precaution taken, there is a chance some guests will experience varying degrees of altitude sickness and symptoms. It is common to feel slightly short of breath and lightheaded. Severe cases can result in nausea, vomiting, and dehydration. These symptoms are avoidable. Doubling your daily water intake can keep almost any and all symptoms at bay. For my flatlander family members, PLEASE DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Acclimation- It is also encouraged to dedicate one day prior to the wedding day to acclimate to the higher elevation for those that are able to. Best practice would be to spend a night in Denver a day or two prior to the wedding. Gradually climbing to 10,000 feet will reduce any altitude related symptoms. We know this is not an option for many guests, please know these are simply recommendations and just because you do not take a few days to acclimate, does not mean you will experience altitude sickness. Bring chapstick... you'll need it.

Question

Should I be concerned about my alcohol intake?

Answer

There will be an open bar but please be responsible drinkers. Although your body metabolizes alcohol the same at higher altitudes, there is a chance without proper hydration, the effects of alcohol will be greater. Long story short, drink the damn water.

Question

The Copper Mountain shuttle only runs until 11pm on the wedding day, what are my options if I want to stay past 11 for the after party?

Answer

We will have two smaller van shuttles that will take you anywhere throughout the resort. They will run from 11:30pm-12:30am for those guests that want to stay for the after party that are not staying within walking distance from the venue. There are also various private shuttles you can book for your party if needed.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

No. Children are not welcome at this event, UNLESS the mother is actively breast feeding and the child will be in a car seat or held the entire time. If your child qualifies as such, they are more than welcome to join you. Please be mindful and relocate to another area if they are crying/disruptive at the ceremony or reception. THANK YOU!

For all the days along the way
