Catherine & Spencer

Spencer and Catherine met during their Earth Science Master's program at the University of Charlotte. They quickly found that they had a lot in common, and started dating in April 2017. Under the guise of a photo session taken by close friends for graduation, Spencer proposed to Catherine in the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens on June 1, 2018. They moved in together, living in the Charlotte area for a while before ultimately moving to Lawrence, KS in January 2019 so Catherine could further her education at KU. On February 22, 2019, Spencer and Catherine got married in a private ceremony in Lawrence. The plan was to celebrate the following year, but with the unfortunate arrival of COVID-19 on the scene, and the hectic schedule of graduate school, the celebration was delayed. They have taken many road trips together to visit parks and explore the world while growing together. Spencer and Catherine are ecstatic to finally celebrate with everyone at Forest Hall on December 10, 2022.
