Our Favorite Places in Sacramento

These are some of our favorite places in town. From farm-to-fork restaurants, to breweries, and fun activities. We hope you enjoy your time in Sacramento!

Midtown Farmers Market

1050 20th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811

The best place to visit on a Saturday morning when visiting the Farm-to-Fork Capitol! In addition to fresh produce from local farms, enjoy live music, local artisans, and food trucks. Grab breakfast and coffee here or at a nearby midtown restaurant!

SacYard Community Tap House

1725 33rd Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

A great neighborhood meeting spot for beer and wine on a nice day. They have rotating draft beers from several craft breweries. They often have food trucks as well!

Urban Roots Brewery & Smokehouse

1322 V Street, Sacramento, CA 95818

This is one of Spencer's favorite restaurants and breweries! They have delicious barbecue and great beer!

Kupros Craft House

1217 21st Street, Sacramento, CA 95811

Where we had our first date and and many more after (including a surprise engagement party!). They have a great upstairs patio for warm summer nights and serve the best chicken strips in town.

Bawk! by Urban Roots

1409 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95811

This sister restaurant of Urban Roots has some of the best chicken in town! There is a speakeasy inside the restaurant-- ask how to get into The Roost!

Federalist PIZZA

2009 Matsui Alley, Sacramento, CA 95811

Don't be fooled by the fact this place is in an alley-- this small restaurant built out of shipping containers makes some of our favorite pizza and sangria. They also have a bocce ball court!

Gunther's

1401 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

An iconic Sacramento ice cream spot. You can't go wrong with a scoop of ice cream or trying Alyssa and Spencer's favorite-- an orange freeze!

Scorpio Coffee

1905 16th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811

Spencer's favorite coffee shop in Midtown. Word on the street is that some of his favorite King's players are often spotted grabbing coffee here as well!

Crocker Art Museum

216 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

This is the first public art museum founded in the Western United States! The Crocker Art Museum is still one of the leading art museums in California today and one of Spencer and Alyssa's favorite museums.

California State Capitol

1315 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

The capitol park is a great place to walk around and see the sites-- including all of the native trees planted in the park. The capitol museum offers tours of the historic State Capitol building, which gives visitors a glimpse into California's history!

McKinley Park Rose Garden

3255 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

McKinley Park is a beautiful city park that offers a serene place to relax. It features a rose garden with over 1,200 roses of different varieties, a children's playground, a library, a swimming pool, and tennis courts. This is where Spencer popped the question!

The Green Room

3839 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

One of our favorite spots close to home for cocktails and light bites!

Pizzasaurus Rex

2322 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

We love grabbing slices from this Detroit-style pizza place! It is delicious and open late!

The Butterscotch Den

3406 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817

This restaurant and bar serves delicious cocktails and grill your own steaks! It is one of a kind.

Nitty's Cider

3201 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95816

A great spot for our gluten-free friends and family! This cidery has delicious ciders and a nice space to enjoy the nice weather.

Drake's: The Barn

985 Riverfront Street, West Sacramento, CA 95691

This is a great brewery to sit outside on a nice day! They also have great pizza!

Old Sacramento

Sacramento, CA

This is National Historic Landmark District and State Historic Park that lives in homage to California's beginning with the Gold Rush of 1849. Located along the Sacramento River, you will find historical attractions and museums set within the time of the California Gold Rush and the Transcontinental Railroad. Grab a cocktail on the Delta King on the water or walk around on the wooden sidewalks for a glimpse into 19h-century life. Don't miss a visit to Howard at the Sacramento History Museum, who became famous on Tiktok for his printing press demonstrations!
