Lily and Colton met the summer of 2013 through a Black Veil Brides Facebook page (cringe, we know!). Even though Colton was not a fan of the band, he was an admin of the page and Lily was a follower of the page. At this point, Lily was leaving for a friends house when her beloved cat, Harlow, knocked over a water. After cleaning the mess, she decided to scroll one last time through facebook before she left. It was at that point, Colton made a post on the page to have people chat with him and Lily just barely stumbled across it before she logged out for the night. They immediately began chatting back and forth for the rest of the summer. They began dating in November of 2013 and dated long distance all through highschool. Lily kept the relationship a secret from her family until her senior year of high school when Colton made the long drive from Kansas to Illinois. This is when Lily’s best friend, Allison, helped her make an excuse to get out of the house for the day as Colton was still a secret. Lily and Colton met in Flora, Illinois in the Walmart parking lot October 7, 2017 (young love, right?). That night, Colton drove back to Kansas and Lily finally told her family about her secret relationship. A couple years full of love passed, then Lily broke the distance and moved to live with her sweetheart in Oklahoma. Not even a year later, they bought their first home in Skiatook. On June 10th of 2021, they had reservations to celebrate Lily’s birthday. Little did she know, after dinner Colton popped the question and asked her to marry him.
