Our first stop as we pulled in to Austin after the three day drive from Virginia. Excellent tacos, good beer, great people.
Plenty of outdoor space, playground for kids, multiple food trucks, good beer!
Our local watering hole and go-to for sandwiches and salads!
Great outdoor vibes for coffee and cocktails - two locations. The other location, Cosmic Coffe Pickle, has food trucks while the Saltillo location has a taco shop.
Our go-to Saturday morning coffee - with breakfast tacos from Pueblo Viejo! Fun Fact: It's right next to the woodshop Patrick frequents.
Multiple locations! At Flitch Coffee, at Cosmic Coffee Pickle and at Meanwhile Brewing.
Our first date spot after Sam made her move to Austin! Classic Austin tacos and margaritas - you will likely need a reservation. Our go-to spot to bring any out of town guests. You are warned - there's a limit on those margaritas for a reason :)
We love their kolaches.
Award winning, incredible Egyptian inspired BBQ. The food truck sits outside of Oddwood Brewing.
Grab a coffee from Flitch and head down the street to walk around this lovely retail nursery.
We love strolling around here on a weekend trying to decide what record to add to our collection.
Mueller has it all - a lake to walk around, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, a children's museum, and a Sunday farmer's market that is always packed. B.D. Riley's is here too, which is where you'll find Patrick during most Liverpool matches.
Good cocktails and nice outdoor area with a taco truck, naturally.
Whether you're looking for some new boots, some local Austin art, a quick bite, some cocktails, or some window shopping - SoCo is the place to be. We love to browse stores like Paper Work and find some new local art for the house. You can also find the famous "I love you so much" mural here, on the side of Jo's Coffee.
One parking option for exploring Lady Bird Lake - Samantha frequents this trail for her runs! There are many parking areas all around, as it's a 10 mile loop, but a great spot to get some fresh air and check out the ever-growing Austin skyline.
