Summer was just months away, Rob had graduation plans in place and was gearing up to move to Omaha. Courtney was preparing to start another year of school at Arizona State’s nursing program. With the help of Rob’s fraternity brother, Joey, they were set up to attend a date party together. Courtney was nervous to go on a “blind date,” but her college roommate, Alex, gave her the courage to go. Dressed up to the theme of the 80’s, Courtney and Rob hit the dance floor and were inseparable ever since. Courtney loved Rob’s calm and confident demeanor. Rob loved that Courtney was kind and down to earth. They moved to Nebraska together in 2018 and then decided to move to the PNW in Seattle, where they currently live.

Rob planned a surprise weekend trip to “celebrate Courtney’s new job.” Courtney had a hunch this would be THE weekend…They drove up to the town of Leavenworth, WA and settled in to a cute log cabin. They spent their time snowshoeing in the woods and drinking at German bars where men were dressed up in Lederhosen playing the accordion. As the weekend came to an end, Courtney thought she may have been wrong about her intuition. On their last night, before they were going to head to a romantic Italian dinner, Rob got down on one knee. They spent the rest of the evening calling their loved ones, eating great food, and drinking wine. It is their most favorite trip yet.
