It all started in New Orleans during Halloween weekend in 2018. Alyssa had been convinced by her close friend to join a music festival adventure, and Corey had done the same with his crew. Alyssa dressed as a Space Cowgirl; however, coined the name “Space Pants” while Corey and his friends went all in as lifeguards, whistles and all. Fate stepped in when Alyssa, leaving the beverage line, spotted a lifeguard and jokingly called for help to “save” her drowning friend. Corey answered the call, and from that moment, the night was ours. What started as laughter and music turned into something timeless. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

After meeting in 2018, Alyssa was living In New York and Corey was in Louisville. Two weeks later after NOLA, Corey flew out to visit and we haven’t stopped choosing each other since. After years of long-distance, late night calls, pandemic visits, a chapter in NYC together, and finally settling back in Louisville in 2023, we’ve built a life (and little family) we absolutely love. Every move brought us closer and every mile made our love stronger.

Two days after we closed on our first home, we hit the road to Michigan to pick up the newest member of our family, our needy, lovable fur child, Pepper. From the very beginning, Pepper has been part of every adventure. Whether it’s cozy weekends at home or epic road trips like the one that took us all the way to San Diego for our engagement, Pepper has been our constant companion. She’s not just our dog, she’s our travel buddy, our comic relief, and the heart of our little family.
