Price: Free Location: 45min - 1hour away from the city Transport: Grab (uber), probably $10-20 Outfit: No shorts for woman The caves are one of the country's biggest tourist attractions and are a place of pilgrimage for Tamil Hindus. They are named for the Sungai Batu (Batu River), which flows nearby, and are located 7 miles (13 km) north of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. *There is a hidden wildlife cave at the top of the cave, which you have to pay to enter. I highly suggest it! It was super fun! Smells... great...
My favorite chicken rice!!! You have to order their special chicken which is a bit more pricey but two people are usually around $20 or less, which is a lot in Malaysia. You should be able to still get most meals for less than RM10, which is $2 ish.
Used to be the tallest building in the world... not anymore! But the mall is great! Especially multiple sky bridges to different malls! There is also a garden behind the mall!
I would say this is the fanciest mall in KL. If you want to see any holidays decoration or go on some luxury splurge. Here is the place! Fyi, Malaysia's luxury items are cheaper due to no tax (maybe around $2-400 cheaper).
My uncle might have a store there that still talks about the history of Malaysia. They also have one of the best dessert cafes! But the location might change, will update you in the future if interested.
Chinatown! With lots of good food. Nighttime is very different! Lots of bars and hawker stalls open up for nighttime business. I forgot what street the bars are located on. sorry...
Women: no shorts or reveling clothing Welp, apparently no matter what you wear, they will give you the robe.
This is where the currency exchange place is located!
Apparently, this is the place for Chinese hawker stalls like the one shown in Crazy Rich Asian (similar lol), which they actually film it in Malaysia...
Royal Meseum
This is a night market. It is one of the longest and best ones in Malaysia. Which is only open on Wednesdays.
1-2 hours drive. Grab will drive you there. Biggest theme park and the only legal casino in Malaysia. Lots of American street food in the theme park. If you only staying in KL for a couple of days, I don't suggest going. Unless you plan to party with friends.
