We're so excited to share a few of our favorite spots in Seoul with you. Seoul is incredibly safe for solo travelers, and you'll find plenty to explore even at late night. Some cafes, restaurants, and markets stay open until 2-3am. Convenience stores and McDonald's are open 24 hours a day. There are 12 parks along the Han River where you can take a stroll or go on a picnic. Among them, our favorite is Banpo as the bridge seen from the park lights with performance. People usually enjoy Chimaek (fried chicken and beer) at night.

Hongdae district is where the cool kids (mostly gen z) get together. You can watch street performances, go to arts and crafts market, enjoy karaoke, visit animal cafes (samoyed, meerkat, cat, etc.), and shop trendy clothes at reasonable prices.

If you are into historic buildings and traditional gardens, Gyeongbokgung Palace is the perfect place to visit. You can watch the royal changing of the guard ceremony that takes place twice a day.
