Although, we love your little ones, we are only inviting children within our families. We know this can be difficult, but we really appreciate you.
Check out www.care.com for qualified babysitters in the Washington, DC area. If you have any questions/want to connect with others that may be getting a sitter, please reach out to Heather and Robby, and we will help try to help connect you to someone.
If you would like to drive, parking is available behind the visitor center. Drive to the left after you go through the gate and you will see the lot. The guard house can also provide additional directions as you arrive.
Weather permitting, the ceremony is outdoors, cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor, and the reception will be tented outdoors. The ceremony is on grass, so wedges, chunky heels, or flats are advised. The floors in the cottage are historical, so stilettos are not allowed.
If the stars have not aligned, and we have poor weather, the ceremony will be tented, cocktail hour will be inside the cottage, and the reception will be tented.
Our dress code is cocktail attire (cocktail or floor length dresses, suits & ties). Wear what makes you feel good! Save your feet and don't wear stilettos due to the historic floors in the cottage.
