We met at Phil's Coffee in Pasadena and chatted on a wood bench for two hours about life and how terrible dating is. Our next date was a week or so later. We like to call it the "Anniversary date" as the waiter couldn't give us dessert without it being a special occasion. We had chocolate chip cookies (our favorite) with 'Happy Anniversary' and a raspberry drawn heart on the plate. Let's just say the rest is history! Since that night, we have been inseparable... from traveling the world together, going to Marcus' soccer games and Liselle's gymnastics competitions, horse shows, and getting engaged in Maui. Losing our home to the Eaton Fire was another adventure that we supported each other through to quite literally rise from the ashes like a phoenix and rebuild our lives together. We are so excited to take this next step together with our friends and family as witnesses to our beautiful love story that is still unfolding.
