Richmond Airport (RIC) is well connected for a small airport to the whole world. This is the closest airport but still an 45m-1 hour drive.

Newport News/Williamsburg (PHF) and Norfolk Airport (ORF) are smaller regional airports (Norfolk the larger) with American Airlines flights. A 45-minute drive to the Irvington area.

IAD /DCA / BWI

Dulles, Regan National, and Baltimore Airports are all options if you are looking for direct larger carriers. If you organize a rental car this is a 2.5-3hr drive to the Northern Neck. Many folks in northern VA and DC area with houses in the area make this weekend commute regularly. We do recommend taking route 301 versus 95. This 95 stretch is notorious as either a smooth 2.5hr or a 5hr+ nightmare. 301 is an easy drive with major toll at the bridge dividing MD and VA.

Wonderful B&B with cottages on the property. Total 6 rooms and 6 cottages, 2 sleep 4 the rest sleep 2. Owners Dudley & Peggy are friends who are welcoming and have built a great spot from a former boarding school. Complete with a 'Detention' Bar, micro-winery/oyster spot, and delicious dining right in Irvington. We have a contract to hold the entire B&B for our guests to book. The resort the area is known for is nestled right on the water. Step back in time to this 1950s era 4-star resort. Think Dirty Dancing on the water (without Patrick Swayze) Book online or we suggest the Zola site for a better rate than booking directly (5%-8% savings).
