Shuttles will be provided to the venue, with pick-up and drop-off at the Sheraton Music City Hotel (the designated meeting point for guests on Friday and Saturday). If you're staying elsewhere in downtown Nashville or near BNA airport, the Sheraton is a short Uber/Lyft ride away. Valet-parking will be available for local guests planning to drive themselves to the wedding venue.
Please arrive on time to the events! For the Sangeet, that's 6:45pm on Friday. For the ceremony, that's 3:30pm on Saturday. The shuttle ride is 30-40 minutes, so please plan accordingly!
We get it. Luckily, the day is divided into pieces, starting with the Baraat (groom's procession) and Milni (meeting of the families). After that, the wedding ceremony should take about an hour, fusing together Bengali and Punjabi Hindu traditions. Then it's cocktails over a beautiful sunset. The main event will commence afterwards with the usual dinner, drinks, and toasts, followed by dancing to your heart's content. Early shuttles will be available, but we encourage all to stay until the reception concludes at 11pm. Please do not plan to change outfits between the ceremony and reception.
Of course! Indian attire is encouraged, but definitely not mandated -- see the Events page for more information on recommended attire.
Nay. While we're doing a Hindu ceremony, we're mixing things up a bit. Horses and elephants are typically used for the Baraat, (the procession of the groom and his family). In lieu of a traditional Baraat, we want ALL our wedding guests, groom side and bride side, to join in a dance-filled, musical procession (no choreo necessary)! We're also excited to present one of Nashville's best live bands at Saturday's reception to keep the dance floor going with American classics, as well as DJ sets throughout during which all your Bollywood dreams can come true.
All invited guests will be listed on your invitation. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation.
