Make your way to Music City!

When a wide-eyed Southern gal arrived in the big city, she wasn't looking for love. Little did she know, she would find it almost immediately in a baby-faced Mets fan who had by then barely grown his first beard. Neena and Sourav unknowingly crossed paths while students at Northwestern University, somehow never meeting one another. Fast forward to mid-2015 when Neena moved to New York and caught up with an old friend from college who happened to be Sourav's coworker. An idea sparked: this mutual friend decided that classmate and colleague should finally meet. Though they both scoffed at the idea of a blind date, Neena and Sourav asked around and liked what they heard, so they gave it a shot. A first date at Beecher's Cheese (despite someone's lactose intolerance) turned into a second, then a third, then a fourth. When Neena promised to venture across the river to visit Sourav in Astoria, he knew it was a big step. He spent days planning a date that would show off the best of his neighborhood, choreographing it down to the minute. Somewhere between the planning and anticipation, he realized he'd only be doing this for someone special. And it was sensing his care and excitement that made her realize he was special too.
