Our story began 1,500 miles apart—Josh was living in Virginia while Amanda was in Texas. From the start, long-distance became our normal. Between phone calls, FaceTime dates, and texts that stretched late into the night, we found ways to bridge the miles and keep our connection strong. Even though we were far apart, we kept dreaming together about what the future might hold. It wasn’t always easy. Amanda was focused on finishing college, and Josh was still serving in the Navy. Both of us wished we could be closer—or at least in the same state. But through it all, we leaned on God to carry us. He became the foundation of our relationship and gave us the strength and patience to get through the challenges that distance and busy seasons brought. After Amanda graduated, she took a big step and moved to Florida to start her next chapter. A few months later, Josh finished his service in the Navy and made the move to Florida too. Finally being in the same state felt like a dream come true. We didn’t have to plan flights or count down weeks anymore—suddenly, we could just hop in the car and be with each other whenever we wanted. It felt like a blessing we had prayed for finally came to life. Then, in March of 2025, Josh got down on one knee and asked Amanda the easiest question she’s ever answered. With God’s faithfulness guiding us, our story has been one of love, growth, and perseverance—and now we can’t wait to begin forever together as husband and wife.
