We're getting married!

In Kenzie's last year of Physical Therapy school, she decided it would be a great idea to look for a part time job as an outlet from her coursework. She decided to apply to Optimism Brewing company where she met Jeremy at her interview. Jeremy's role in the interview included role playing a drunk and disorderly patron, in which Kenzie was sure she had not performed well enough to secure the job. Much to Kenzie's surprise, she got the job and fell in love with her weekends spent in the brewery. Kenzie and Jeremy became great friends over the course of the summer. In September, Kenzie went to travel Peru for 3 weeks and in that time they both realized that a spark had formed between them. On her return, Jeremy invited Kenzie to go to the farmers market one Saturday morning where they gathered local produce to cook and eat brunch together. After that first date, the two were inseparable. They went from co-workers to falling madly in love. A year later they moved in together in Capitol Hill where they both work. Almost a year into living together, the pandemic hit and they made the best decision possible, to raise a dog together!

Jeremy planned to ask Kenzie to marry him in the Spring of 2020...then COVID hit. Several delays and reschedules and many plans later, Jeremy finally decided to pop the question in October. He planned a romantic weekend getaway in an adorable cabin on the water in Sequim, WA. After a day of exploring the waterfront, walking with their pup, getting pastries and having some much needed time away, Jeremy invited Kenzie to go take a photo in front of the sunset. He set up his phone to take a photo and the next thing Kenzie knew, he was down on one knee asking her to marry him. The answer was enthusiastically yes of course! The next day, Jeremy managed to once again surprise Kenzie by planning for her parents, family and a few friends to have a masked celebration on the way back to Seattle.
