Hello everyone! Due to the impact of COVID-19 and restrictions on travel and gatherings that affect us all, we would like you to take note of our change of date. Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 27, 2020, and has been moved to August 8, 2020. We hope by August that Virginia will be in Phase III of reopening, allowing us to gather with our invited guests. Due to the uncertainty of federal and state restrictions and lack of a forecast of timelines through the summer we understand if you and your loved ones choose not to make the trip. We will post updates on this site as they come, so please stay tuned! We hope to see you in August!
As of July 1, 2020, Virginia is in Phase 3 of reopening! You can see Virginia’s reopening guidelines online at https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/frequently-asked-questions/phase-1-safer-at-home/ Masks are currently mandatory in Virginia. Sacred Heart is a large church with space enough to safely accommodate more than our invited guests, so we are happy about that! We will have a table with masks and hand sanitizer for our guests at the church and reception venue as a precaution. As much as we would love for all of our guests to come, we do understand if you are unable to travel, or simply do not wish to make the trip. Stay safe and healthy!
It was the end of August 2017, and Kristin had only been a flight attendant for about six months. Kristin's cousin Steve Trochlil texted her and invited her to come to hang out with him and his buddies for the long Labor Day weekend in Chicago. Suspecting Steve of having cute Air Force friends, Kristin told him that if the scheduling and standby flying odds were in her favor, she'd be there! Not only did both of those pan out, but Kristin's friend Amanda Rasch was also free, so the two girls flew to Chicago to hang with the boys. Kristin and Amanda made fancy brunch plans for the group and trekked through the city in their high-heeled sandals, which proved to impress the boys. At one point, Chris asked Kristin to take his picture in front of the beautiful Chicago skyline for his "Tinder profile." By the end of the weekend, Kristin decided that Chris didn't need a "Tinder profile" anymore. She snapped that photo and sent it to him well after the weekend was over, which initiated a conversation that hasn't stopped since. The two went on to have a first date in Memphis, then continued to see each other in Atlanta, Mississippi, Virginia, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. Chris would like to thank Steve for extending the invitation to Kristin, as he was initially salty that Steve's "girl cousin" would be "crashing their weekend." Kristin currently lives in Virginia and Chris lives in South Carolina. The two are very excited to end long-distance (until the next deployment) and begin their married life together in Charleston!
