We're getting married!

It was your typical meet cute—he was starting a radio station with his friends, she wanted to be a DJ. She asked her friend Tanner if he knew anyone who might be a good match, and he always happened to chat with Tanner at the local coffee shop. The stars aligned, the first messages were sent, and we’ve talked every day since. That was back in 2016. Since then we’ve supported each other through earning our degrees, gone on many memory-making adventures, joined the Peace Corps and navigated evacuation, volunteered on some farms (that was a weird detour), continued our journey of national and community service through AmeriCorps, adopted a big orange cat (#WeasleyIsOurKing), and discovered that spending all day every day working from home together was not only doable, but wonderful. We grew together, learned from and about each other, and fell in love over and over and over. At that point it was easy to decide we were ready to be engaged, and a little harder for Corbett to keep it a surprise. But he did (with a lot of assistance), and in November of 2021 our families helped us celebrate and toast to our future together. It was magical and momentous and meaningful, and everything we could’ve wanted. Shortly thereafter we moved across the country to start new jobs, experience new adventures, and try to do a little more good in Washington, DC. It’s been more wonderful than we hoped for, despite the challenges of planning a wedding from many states away. That being said: We’re so excited to get married and to celebrate with all the people we love.
