We first met when we were just 10 years old—Sophie spent most of her childhood dancing, and Tyler’s cousin (who just so happened to be Sophie’s longtime dance teacher) needed his help with something that year. That’s when our paths first crossed. Even back then, we both secretly thought the other was super cute (though neither of us would have admitted it at the time). Fast forward to our 20s right out of college —we reconnected and had one of those, “Wait… you’re THAT Sophie/Tyler?!” moments. The spark was there, the timing… not quite. Tyler ghosted Sophie (yep, it happened), and no—he will probably never live it down. But fate had other plans. In 2022, we reconnected once more—and this time, everything felt right. From the very first date, we both just knew—this was it. No games, no doubts, just the quiet certainty that we had found our person. Since then, we’ve purchased our first home together in Hampshire, Illinois, traveled to new places, and made countless unforgettable memories along the way. Every step has brought us closer, and we’ve loved building this life side by side. Now, we’re engaged!! and counting down the days until we say “I do” in June 2026. We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you—our favorite people—as we begin this next chapter of our forever.
