It probably goes without saying but we love this park! It has miles of trails for running, biking, and walking; a natural geyser, and lots of natural springs to try out (they all taste GREAT).
Shopping, restaurants, coffee, bars, Skidmore College, gorgeous homes (at least one house that's been featured on @Zillowgonewild--bonus points to the out-of-towner who figures out which one). What's not to love!
About a 10 minute drive from downtown, Saratoga Apple is a local, family-owned and operated apple orchard that offers pick-your-own apples, a farm stand, and a hard cider and tasting room. Sophie grew up playing hide-and-seek in their orchards and industrial-sized walk-in coolers. We love this place and could not recommend them more highly.
Yaddo is a nonprofit artist retreat in Saratoga, with beautiful gardens that are open to the public.
If that's what you're into.
Saratoga National Historical Park preserves the site of the Battle of Saratoga, which was the first significant American victory in the American Revolutionary War. Miles of gorgeous hiking and biking trails, plus some cool history (and canons).
