FAQs

Question

Is this a wedding?

Answer

Ish! This is the celebration of us getting married. We will already have been legally married by the time we celebrate with all of you. In other words, this will be skipping to the fun part of the wedding--no need to make you all sit through another boring ceremony!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Kids are absolutely invited to the Park! However, the party at Putnam Place will be for adults only.

Question

Can I bring a significant other?

Answer

To ensure there is enough food for everyone, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Wear whatever you want! This is meant to be a casual and comfortable affair. For those who need a reference, Sophie will wear some kind of white dress, probably with some low heels, and Ryan will likely wear a linen button down and throw a jacket over that if it gets chilly in the evening. The park pavilion has a large concrete floor, but you will likely also be on the grass, so think about that when picking your footwear.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 15.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

A food truck called Pies on Wheels will be providing our food! At the park, they'll be serving grilled meat and vegetables, salads, antipasti, and bread, and at Putnam Place they'll be making pizza! Vegan and gluten free options will be available at both locations. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will also be served at both the park and at Putnam Place. Please drink responsibly.

Question

How will we get from A to B?

Answer

A shuttle will be available to drive folks from downtown Saratoga to the park and back. Details on this (including timing and pickup/dropoff locations) coming soon. We recommend taking advantage of the shuttle to travel to and from the reception. While there is plenty of parking at the Columbia pavilion, those driving to the park may be required to pay a $10 entry fee (it depends on whether there's an attendant that day, which is hard to predict). Cars may not be left in the park overnight. Also, if you plan on drinking at the park, taking the shuttle is the best way to enjoy the day responsibly. (You could also walk, but it's 2.8 miles from Columbia Pavilion to Putnam Place. Up to you.) There will not be any shuttle provided after the Party at Putnam Place, but Putnam Place is right in the middle of downtown Saratoga Springs and all of the hotels we recommend on the Travel page are within walking distance. Uber is also available and very easy to use in Saratoga.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There is a list of hotels we recommend on the "Travel" page. Air Bnb/VRBOs are also a good option, particularly for groups. We recommend staying somewhere in or near downtown. Any questions, give us a call!
