We recommend arriving no later than Friday, June 11, as we'll be kicking off the celebrations that evening with a welcome dinner hosted by the Pilches. You may wish to arrive in Italy earlier in the week to adjust to the time change, we want you rested to enjoy the festivities!
We're making a three-day affair of it: June 11: Welcome Dinner at La Pescaia, hosted by Katy and Rick Pilch June 12: Wedding Ceremony & Reception at La Pescaia, hosted by Tracy and Mark Levine June 13: Pool Party and Lunch at La Pescaia Additional details, including exact times and locations, will be shared closer to the wedding.
The wedding ceremony and reception on June 12 will be black tie. Think tuxedos, floor-length gowns and an excuse to get dressed up in the Tuscan countryside. As an outdoor event there is mixed terrain including grass, gravel, and paved areas. Dress codes for the welcome dinner and pool party will be shared closer to the wedding.
We're arranging room blocks at a selection of nearby hotels, with booking details expected to be available at the beginning of the new year. For those eager to get a head start, you can find the properties we're considering on our Accommodations page.
Yes! We'll be arranging transportation to and from the wedding venue from our selected hotels on June 12. Additional transportation details will be shared closer to the date.
We recommend flying into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and renting a car to make your way to Tuscany. It's about a 2 hour drive. For those who would rather leave the driving to someone else, we'll also be sharing recommendations for private transportation.
We recommend it. While transportation will be provided for the wedding, having a car will give you the freedom to explore Tuscany at your own pace. Italy has a wonderful train system, but we have been advised that they can be unreliable, strikes can occur without warning, and taxis etc. are hard to come by in the area. You can use your same navigation apps (Waze, Google Maps) you use in the US.
If you're fairly certain you'll be joining us, feel free to book whenever you find flights and pricing you're comfortable with. We also suspect a few of you will be extending your trip before and/or beyond the wedding weekend (and we fully support that decision).
As much as we love your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a few days away with us in Italy!
With a destination wedding in Italy and a limited guest count, we're keeping our celebrations intimate. As such, we're only able to accommodate guests specifically included in your invitation. If a plus-one has been extended to you, they'll be included in your formal RSVP. We appreciate your understanding!
As we plan for the wedding weekend, we’d love to get a sense of who may be able to join us. Please share your tentative plans by November 15 to help us with accommodations and logistics. We know things can change, so this is an early check-in rather than a final RSVP. Formal invitations and RSVPs forthcoming.
There will be an opportunity to share any dietary restrictions or allergies when submitting your formal RSVP. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone's needs.
