FAQs

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

While we love all your little ones very much, our wedding isn't the place for them. Please arrange for a babysitter so you can party late into the night with us. For those coming from abroad with littles, we've thought about you. Please reach out if you need help arranging child care.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Although we're having a laid back wedding, we want everyone to look and feel their best so we ask that you dress somewhere between cocktail and dressy garden party. But make sure to bring some comfy shoes because we plan to be boogying all night long! Ladies, the wedding will be mostly outside on grass and soft terrain so consider your shoe choices wisely. For out of towners, the weather can be quite chilly in the evenings so a light jacket or sweater wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors! Think of it as a swanky back yard vibe.

Question

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

There is ample free parking across the street and we are looking into other transportation options. Check back closer to the date for more information.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We plan to promptly start the ceremony at 3pm, so please ensure you arrive with enough time to say your hellos and find a seat.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We want to keep attendance to our nearest and dearest, so unless otherwise indicated in your official invite, plus one's are not permitted.

Question

What if I have food allergy or dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will do our best to provide options for all dietary restrictions. The official RSVP will include an option for notifying us of any allergies. We are planning to serve dinner family style, and will be happy to provide a list of ingredients ahead of time.

Question

Are you changing your last names?

Answer

No! We are keeping our own names because we like them.

Question

When should I start thinking about accommodation?

Answer

Start thinking anytime but know that we are working on securing a block of hotel rooms in Gibsons for guests. Websites Airbnb and VRBO are the most popular places to find accomodation around here and will provide a list of recommendations closer to the day. Please check back around closer to the date for an update.

Question

Is the wedding the whole weekend?

Answer

We would love to see you for drinks on Friday evening and for brunch on Sunday, but understand that might not work for everyone. Come to what you can but make sure to make it for the big event on Saturday.
