United States National Arboretum
A gorgeous oasis in the middle of DC. While you'll need to take a car (or Uber) to get there, it's the perfect place to enjoy miles of walking trails and a picnic. Don't forget to check out the bonsai collection!

A fabulous art museum with amazing interactive art installations.

A food hall and so much more. We love the fare from DC Dosa, followed by a drive-in movie in the parking lot.
Millenium Stage at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Every day at 6pm, the Kennedy Center features first-come, first-serve performances for free at their Millennium Stage. Check out anything from traditional Japanese dance to spoken word poetry.
National Portrait Gallery
Abraham Lincoln held his Inaugural Ball here, and it's been a DC favorite ever since. Check out the section on Presidential portraits, as well as their rotating exhibits, then follow up with a coffee in the Kogod Courtyard.
Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument
A fascinating look into the home of the women's suffrage movement- now a national monument after years of advocacy from female senators on both sides of the aisle.
Dupont Underground
After decades of abandonment, this old streetcar station beneath Dupont Circle has become a vibrant space for art exhibitions.
The Bishop's Garden
A gorgeous garden located on the grounds of the National Cathedral. Grab a coffee or soft serve at the Tryst located nearby, and stroll around.

Our favorite Ethiopian restaurant has moved to our neighborhood, and we couldn't be happier. Try the veggie platter and wash it down with a cold St. George beer.

Serving consistently delicious bistro fare, this neighborhood spot is a favorite for Happy Hour and brunch.

With menu items from around the world, there's something for everyone here! The Georgian fare really shines - the khachupuri is divine, and the selection of wines is excellent.

Winner of a Michelin star, this newcomer is another addition to the Adams Morgan renaissance. Don't miss the lamb ribs, their signature dish.

A newcomer to 14th Street with a genius setup- delicious fast-casual Peruvian chicken in the front, whisky-focused speakeasy in the back!

One of our favorite spots for ice cold Peronis and Neapolitan pizza - a DC classic.

Excellent fast casual rice bowls in this narrow, almost-hidden gem. The sakedon (Sophie) and katsudon (Grant) are worth the short wait.

Inventive Afghan food in a warm and stylish setting. We love the vegetarian prix fix, and the brunch is excellent.

British classics with an East London twist. No visit is complete without the Proper Burger - our pick for the best burger in DC.
Pearl Dive Oyster Palace
Exceptional seafood with a Chesapeake Bay twist. The Addie's mussels are wonderful- just remember to pack a breath mint!
