Things To Do

Close enough to Charlotte for weekend visits, Charleston has become a favorite city to explore for Sophie & Adam! The couple is excited to be celebrating their wedding in such a beautiful and historic city and thrilled for their guests to have a chance to explore it as well - including some of their favorite places listed below.
Gibbes Museum of Art

Gibbes Museum of Art

This is where Sophie & Adam will be hosting their ceremony and reception. They would highly suggest going for an additional visit while guests are in town to view their full collection and galleries! The Gibbes has an incredible collection, including work from local Charleston and South Carolina artists.

Melfi's

Melfi's

A Ritter family favorite with delicious and classic Italian food and a killer limoncello! The interior of the restaurant is sleek and elegant making it the perfect spot for a date night or the beginning of a night out in Charleston.

Leon's

Leon's

Introduced to Sophie by her best friend Caroline, Leon's became a quick favorite! Adam and Sophie celebrated Valentines Day 2021 here! Their char-grilled oysters, fried chicken, and Day Trippers are not to be missed!

Xiao Bao Biscuit

Xiao Bao Biscuit

Eclectic and creative multicultural Asian cooking, Xiao Bao Biscuit has incredible food that is great to share with friends! This funky spot is in a converted gas station and does not take reservations so put your name in and walk around the area to explore!

167 Raw

167 Raw

For a large variety of seafood, 167 raw is a great choice. Adam and Sophie always work in a visit to this spot whenever they are in Charleston. While they don't take reservations, 167 Raw is on King Street so a perfect place to put your name in and do some shopping while you wait.

Darling Oyster Bar

Darling Oyster Bar

With delicious food and a vintage feel The Darling Oyster Bar is always a favorite. Located in a restored 115 year old building on King St the Darling offers a great selection of seafood and southern comfort food for dinner and brunch.

The Obstinate Daughter

The Obstinate Daughter

If you want to get out of the city and explore one of the nearby beach areas The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's Island has a wonderful brunch (and lunch and dinner too). Fun and unique food (pizza for brunch - yum!) that they create though sourcing a lot of their ingredients from local farms and fishermen. After your meal take a stroll along the beach.
