Things To Do

Below are some of our favorite spots for a bite or a drink - whether it's Friday dinner or Saturday brunch before the ceremony. We have listed spaces that are walkable from the hotel, though there are many other awesome restaurants in Philly! Get excited to explore.

Spice Finch

220 South 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Spice Finch is attached to the Warwick and we celebrated closing on our condo here. Their spreads and spicy margs are some of our favorites in Philly.

Almyra Restaurant

1636 Chancellor Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

A new Greek restaurant across the street from the Warwick. We haven't been but we've heard rave reviews!

Gran Caffe L'Aquila

1716 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Awarded best gelato in the U.S. and Sophia's favorite restaurant in the city! She recommends the paccheri with golden tomatoes.

Via Locusta

1723 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Great for brunch or for dinner and right next to the park. The focaccia and crab pasta are must gets.

a.kitchen+bar

135 South 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Named one the NYTimes Best 50 Restaurants of the Year, though it is on the pricier side, so we recommend stopping by for just a drink and an app.

SouthGate

1801 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146

A Korean joint around the corner from our condo - one of our favorites when we're craving something different. We recommend the Korean fried wings, ramen, and a Kirin Ichiban.

Enswell

1528 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

Coffee and cocktail bar with light bites. No one does a dirty gin martini like Enswell.

The Black Sheep Pub & Restaurant

247 South 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

A dive bar with surprisingly good food. Grab one of Philly's famous cheesesteak spring rolls (yes, really).

Monk's Cafe

264 South 16th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

The largest selection of Belgian beers outside of Belgium! We recommend the mussels, the fries, and the Russian River IPA. Monk's does not take reservations and there's usually a wait, but it's across the street from Superfollie so you can usually wait there for Monk's to open up.

Superfolie

1602 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Hole in the wall wine bar with a great selection of wines and quick bites. We recommend a Beaujolais and the charred eggplant yogurt.

Good Dog Bar

224 South 15th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

We grabbed lunch here after touring apartments at our real estate broker's recommendation. The food was phenomenal as is the dive-y atmosphere.
