16 May, please!
We have not created a registry. The curse of academic careers is professional insecurity and an itinerant lifestyle. Since we will likely be moving often and therefore don't want to accumulate a lot of possessions, the best way you can support us is by contributing to our security net - our "Newlywed Fund" which you can find under the "Registry" tab. With this, we can continue to follow our passions as we build our life together.
Please wear blue and white (yes, you CAN wear white)! The dress-code is garden party attire, so think semi-formal with a breezy, summery, floral-y twist. We will be outside on grass (maybe rethink stilettos). There will be a tent for shade or cover in case of rain, but bring a layer for when the sun goes down. See here for ideas! https://greenweddingshoes.com/garden-party-attire-dress-code/
As a rule, we are only inviting partners that we have met. Save the Dates/invitations will be addressed accordingly.
Unfortunately, because of our bountiful families and wide-reaching communities, we will not be having children at our wedding celebration. Families who might be travelling together are welcome to bring littles to the Welcome BBQ and Goodbye Drinks, and we can help arrange childcare on the Saturday if need be.

There will be street parking for the Welcome BBQ and a private parking lot for the wedding celebration. Gasworks Brewing for Goodbye Drinks has extremely limited on-site parking and street parking, but you can also park near the corner of 37th and Sunnyside and walk via the Burke-Gilman Trail.
A shuttle will depart from the backside of the Silver Cloud Lake Union hotel along Eastlake Ave at 3pm and 4pm on the day of the wedding to take you to the Seattle Yacht Club, and then depart every half hour from 8:30pm onwards to take you back to the hotel. Please plan to leave SYC before 11pm.
