Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sophia Lassotovitch and Kevin Malachefski
Most of these places are within walking distance of the hotels! We are excited for you guys to explore!! Downtown New Bern is really cute and has a lot of history! There is a map on this website: https://discoverymap.com/destination/crystal-coast-nc/ And a list of things to do on this website: https://visitnewbern.com/things-to-do/ Below are some recommendations!

Tryon Palace

529 South Front Street, New Bern, NC 28562

Historical Landmark! Originally built between 1767 and 1770 as the first permanent capitol of the Colony of North Carolina and the home of Royal Governor William Tryon, it is considered the state's first capitol.

New Bern Coffee Roasters

202 Middle Street, New Bern, NC 28560

Yummy coffee!

Beaufort (Super Cute Beach Town)

Beaufort, NC

Beaufort is about an hour’s drive from New Bern, and it’s absolutely worth the trip! It’s such a charming little beach town with tons of Blackbeard history and has an island with wild horses!! You can catch a ferry from Beaufort over to Carrot Island to see the wild horses up close. I recommend grabbing a bite at Moonrakers, exploring the Old Burying Ground, and ordering a margarita at Mezcalito Grill & Tequila Bar, they’re huge!! They have a Blackbeard museum too!

Ghosts of New Bern

246 Middle Street, New Bern, NC 28560

If you want to be a little spooked!
