We understand that many of you are investing a lot just to come to our wedding so we won't be asking for gifts. However, if you would like to make a contribution to our future home there will be a card station at the wedding venue, thank you!
While we can't force you, we would if we could! We would love it if everyone joined in on the fun and got into the theme with us, so if that means you bring the boots, the hat and the spurs, we're all for it!
We would LOVE that! Here's the link to our spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3N2gbS0Fu0fNTjmiGtNYUI?si=a029c7bd6573400a&pt=185ecf82088aa9854554c25182a13e81 updated 23/06 - the link is valid for 7 days, we'll try to remember to keep updating it, but if it's not working send us a message :)
That's possible! There are some spots still available and there's a campsite on the premises. There's also a hotel nearby if we don't have housing anymore!
We'll be placing a grocery order that will be delivered to the venue on Thursday which will take care of Dinner Thursday; Breakfast & lunch Friday; Breakfast & lunch Saturday; Brunch Sunday. We'll be covering dinner Friday & Saturday. If you have special requests for the grocery order, please send them to us at basandsophia@gmail.com by September 5th. There is also a beautiful restaurant with terrace called Fenn's on the property if you'd prefer. You can find the link under the Things to Do page. Finally, there's a farmers market and larger grocery store nearby < 5 min drive.
Sometimes. The Netherlands is a very card oriented country, HOWEVER, they use their own system of banking called Maestro. They consider Visa and MasterCard to be credit cards and some grocery stores, restaurants, shops don't accept them. In this case, you'll need cash. There are also certain stores that won't take cash and will only take card, but then they'll accept Visa and MasterCard. American Express is rarely accepted.
Amsterdam has a very good transportation system! All you need is a rechargeable NS card or a contactless payment method like your phone or card. Sprinters and Intercity trains take you from the airport to the city center or to other nearby cities very quickly. Metros and trams take you all over the city, but are a bit slower as they make more stops. It's rare that you'll need to take a bus. The city is also very walkable, and you'll see there are bikes EVERYWHERE. We don't really recommend you renting a bike unless you're very confident as the cyclists here have no mercy. Rechargeable NS transportation cards can be purchased at most train or metro stations and the airport. Note: At most stations you can use your contactless card, google/apple pay to check-in instead of buying a physical ticket or rechargeable card BUT sometimes this doesn't work for some reason so it's good to have a physical way to pay as a backup. Intercity and Sprinter tickets can be purchased online, but we recommend buying them at the station. Or using your contactless card, google/apple pay to check-in instead of buying a physical ticket. Metro can be paid for with your NS card or contactless pay at check-in. Tram can be paid for with your NS card, contactless pay or with the person onboard. Note: they only sell single use or 2 hour passes onboard. This is also a last resort, since they don't stop the tram to wait for you to pay, buying your ticket onboard can be pretty stressful.
