We met in our church choir long before we actually became interested in one another. From September to February, we existed in each other's peripheries as acquaintances. The only real interaction we had was when a priest sang the Alleluia terribly off-key, and we were both the only ones to react, making eye contact and cringing while the rest of the choir held their composure. (We could never). Then, in February of 2025, Adam invited Sophie to a get together he was hosting for young adults in the choir, because why not? That was the first time we actually interacted in a strictly social setting, and we were both pleasantly surprised how much we... enjoyed each other. One thing led to another, and Adam decided to casually ask Sophie to go dancing with him over text. She thought it was just a friend thing. It was abundantly clear to virtually everyone else that it was not just a friend thing. She pieced it together when he started making moves, which culminated in him kissing her in the church parking lot after choir, and then promptly absconding to Spain for 10 days. (Okay, fine-it was a pre-planned vacation. Still, the timing of that trip was undeniably impeccable.) When he came back after a long trip of obsessive WhatsApping over WiFi and suspicious looks from his family, it was game over for both of us. As we discussed how God was moving in our lives, it quickly became abundantly clear that He put us in each other's lives at this specific time for a reason, and that neither of us had the intention of letting that go. It has been the greatest blessing to share our lives together thus far, and we simply cannot wait to receive the sacrament of marriage and begin to live out our vocations together as husband and wife. As our friends and family, thank you for being a part of our love story. We cannot wait to celebrate the start of this new chapter of our lives with you!
