FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alexia Kee and Ian Campbell
We have addressed common questions below with both sass and sincerity. If there is any other questions we missed or any concerns please reach out to one of us (Lexi if you actually want an answer). We want each and every one of you to be able to come and have a good time(: Love you homies xxx
Question

Where and when is the wedding? What about reception?

Answer

At 5:00pm the ceremony will begin. Any late arrivals may be held until after the ceremony processional has ended. Waterstone is located at 11 Journey Place, Johnson City, TN 37615. It is in the middle of nowhere, but is obvious from the street (: google maps takes you right to it. Both ceremony and reception are at the same venue, no driving will be necessary(:

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

It’s a long driveway when you enter but there is a large parking lot when you get to the end. There will be a parking attendant there to guide you as well (:

Question

Do you have a hotel block? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Check out the “travel” section of this site!(: Room blocks are all released but we still recommend these options, or a local airbnb!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are so thankful you guys are celebrating with us. While gifts are not expected, we do have a registry attached to this website with a few items we need for our daycare, I mean zoo, I mean home. Our address is attached to the registry if you would rather mail directly to our home to avoid wrapping or extra luggage(: We love and appreciate all of you.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the serious stuff is over and the knot is tied, the bridal party will be taking photos for.. as long as it takes to get Ian to sit still for at least one. The guests will be guided to cocktail hour where there will be delicious snack spread and the most incredible bar to serve you guys until we get to join you(: Dinner will follow and then.. DANCING!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The plan is to have a completely outdoor wedding (: This includes ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We love the mountain air and unless it rains, we fully intend on taking advantage of it.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Do you know whose wedding this is? Hell yeah there’s a bar! Beer, wine and specialty cocktails are on us! The bar will do last call thirty minutes prior to wedding ending. We have put a lot of care into our bar selections, we love our bartenders and we are so excited to indulge with you! Age laws still apply, it is at their discretion to ask for ID. They will have a tip jar because they’re awesome and deserve the extra loveeeee.

Question

Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages?

Answer

Due to venue policy and regulations, you are not allowed to bring any of your own alcoholic beverages onto the premisses. And why would you want to? We are giving it to you for free!

Question

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Are any of you vegan, vegetarian or gluten- free? If so you better tell me now(: We have made careful considerations for our beloved peanut allergy guests and special signage for the cinnamon girl (I try and poison you enough girl I’m sorry). Beyond that feel free to reach out with any concerns.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We have chosen to have a small wedding and as such, we want everyone to look and feel like part of it. Please try and avoid bright/ vibrant colors (and white unless you want Ali to spill stuff on you). Cocktail attire- Gentlemen: (full suits or you can lose the jacket if it's too warm). No polos/ jeans please. Ladies: Any length skirts/ dresses in dark earthy or soft colors or floral prints. Pantsuits, dressy jumpsuits.. y’all dress better than I do so you know what’s up. Have fun and dress up (: Make sure you will want to dance in it!

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Please consider the dress code, but wear something you feel comfortable in! We will not accept uncomfy shoes an excuse for not dancing (: No flip flops please. The wedding is mostly outdoors so consider that and the dance floor is on concrete so by all means barefoot is accepted if you’re okay with that (I will be joining you!)

Question

What's the weather? Will I need a coat?

Answer

Hopefully beautiful(: If rain is in the forecast we will share any change of plans in the banner at the top of this site. The temperatures at ceremony time will likely be mid 70s, but once the sun goes down they can drop drastically to the 50s. We hope alcohol and dancing will keep everyone cozy, but feel free to bring a coat or shawl just in case! Please keep it in the formal attire range or at least matching(:

Question

Are there any other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Unfortunately our rehearsal dinner has to be limited to those playing a role in our ceremony. We wanted to do a morning after breakfast but hopefully will be catching a plane after a sleepless night. If this plan changes we will for sure update you guys(: Please see the “Things to do” section as we have toured the city and listed things to do while in town(: Besides seeing us get hitched of course!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. We prefer the quality pictures from the professionals we are paying thousands of dollars over whatever blurry low quality photos you take on your broken phone camera. Sit your asses down and enjoy our very private moment we are displaying for your viewing pleasure. If I (or Ali) see your phone, iPad, or camera out during the ceremony, we are not liable for what may happen to it. Or you. Having said that(: When you leave ceremony area feel free to selfie and take photos all you want, it is encouraged. Please still stay out of the professionals way. Thanks love you xoxo

Question

Is there a wedding hashtag?

Answer

ABSOFKNLUTELY there is. Please use our hashtag to help share your night with us and others…. #soontobesoups

Question

Can I take home centerpieces, decorations, etc.?

Answer

I don’t know why this is a thing but I know you flower lovers are VULTURES. Don’t be heathens. Leave my shit alone. Most of it is rented. The rest will end up on Marketplace within a month, by all means come get it then(:

Question

RSVP questions and last minute dates!

Answer

RSVPs are officially in, if something has changed please reach out as soon as possible and we will let you know. If you have not RSVP for yourself or your date, it has been confirmed you will not be coming. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you did not inform us of a plus one, it is now too late to add one on. We have some great people coming though so maybe you meet your soulmate there?

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

We will be so sad! But we know life is hard, and if something comes up please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust accordingly, we wouldn't want to end up with a dinner table because everyone couldn't show up(:

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, however do to space and the nature of our venue, we have decided to make this event adults only at this time. We encourage everyone to use this evening as a romantic outing and enjoy all of the love (: Of course, a few exceptions were made for our own little and immediate family, don’t come for us.

Question

Are pets welcome?

Answer

Sadly no, due to the.. elegance of our venue, no pets are permitted on the property. Not even Chunk..

Question

What if I have more questions?

Answer

After reading all this I imagine the only question is “why did this crazy bridezilla make her wedding website a book?” It’s kind of the wedding theme so get over it. BUT if there is still something I somehow missed, you all have my number (I texted you Save the Dates). Or you may email us at soontobesoups10.24@gmail.com.
