We're so excited to share our special day in northern Michigan with you!

It all started with a fall getaway. Julie thought she and Bradley were simply heading up to northern Michigan for a relaxing weekend at his mother's lake house on Crystal Lake. Long weekends at the lake are something they've come to love, no matter the season. Little did she know, Bradley had been planning this proposal for several months! On Saturday, Bradley took her up on a road trip venturing further up the west coast of Michigan. Stops in Petoskey, Charlevoix, and a lunch in Harbor Springs rounded out the morning before adventuring through the Tunnel of Trees. When they got back to the house, Bradley suggested heading to the Frankfort Lighthouse to watch the sunset (a common evening activity). After walking the pier, Julie started snapping photos of a sailboat passing in front of the sunset. In an unlikely moment, Bradley suggested Julie reposition for a "better angle." She acquiesced, adjusting her location. After two photos, Julie wondered why he wasn't standing next to her. Julie whipped around, and when she looked down, Bradley was down on one knee! Before he could get words out, Julie exclaimed, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" (before saying "yes"!). The night ended at Rocks Landing, a favorite restaurant on the north shore of Crystal Lake. As the waitstaff and owner "oooh" and "ahhhed," her sister Jennie secretly called the restaurant and surprised the couple with a bottle of champagne. What a day!
