The Málaga Costa del Sol Airport is the only major airport within Málaga and is very close to both Málaga Center and Marbella. Public transportation to Malaga is very accessible, as are taxis and Ubers.
Travel Note
Semana Santa (Holy Week) is a major Spanish tradition the week before Easter, filled with solemn processions, music, and centuries-old rituals. Cities come alive as ornate floats (pasos) depicting the Passion of Christ are carried through the streets, accompanied by marching bands and participants in traditional robes. Malaga's 2026 Semana Santa will be held during March 29th - April 5th. Semana Santa a unique blend of history, art, and devotion - we encourage you to take some time to travel to central Málaga to experience this unforgettable celebration!
Travel Note
Please note that our wedding will take place in Marbella, a small city in Málaga along the Costa del Sol. Marbella is about a 45 minute drive from Málaga Center and about 30 minutes from the Málaga airport. Below, we have listed recommended hotels and resorts throughout Marbella. For those wanting to stay in Málaga Center, we recommend Airbnb or Vrbo for accommodation. There are daily buses that go between Marbella and Málaga Center but please be aware that we will not be able to provide shuttles between Málaga Center and Marbella the day of our wedding. Please reach out with any questions on travel or accommodation!
