This is the part of a wedding website that’s normally something like “Our Story!” or “How We Met!” But you know what the kids are in to these days? Clickbait-y listicles. So, here’s 7 reasons why we should win couple of the year. Number 6 will shock you! 1. We met watching Zoolander. We haven’t watched it since. In fact, it’s not a meaningful movie for us at all. It was over 6 years ago. But c’mon, great film. 2. She specifically said she didn’t find gingers attractive before we met. I convinced her otherwise. I can’t say the same about blondes, but have you heard that Chicago accent? It’s to die for. 3. When a global pandemic prevented us from seeing each other for a very, very long time, we just buckled down and made a wedding website instead. Boom, resourcefulness. 4. Speaking of not seeing each other, come March 2021 we will have done 3 years of long distance. If you’re taking notes, let the record show that we wouldn’t recommend that. But it’ll make you know you want it. 5. God has used each of us to teach incredible things about Himself to each other. This includes patience, gentleness, joy, self-control, faithfulness, kindness, peace, goodness and, of course, love. If you’re thinking, “Hey! That’s just the Fruit of the Spirit in a different order!” you’d be correct. Funny how that works. 6. On one of our first dates, we went to Five Guys. She got a burger with everything on it. Everything. As I watched whatever the contents of that burger were drip down her face, I wish I could say that’s when I knew she was the one. It wasn’t, but I still think about that day from time to time. It makes me smile. 7. She let me tell that story. I hope you enjoyed this listicle.
