Yes! We wanted to make sure our friends and family could attend. So we chose a resort that could accommodate children. Whether you decide to bring them or not is up to you. 😜
The short answer is no. You do not have to stay at the resort we have chosen. That being said, you will not receive the wedding rate which we have secured, nor will you have access to the resort we are at. The wedding is off resort, regardless of where you choose to stay you'll have access to the wedding for that day. If you choose to stay at a different Divi resort location (Divi All Inclusive, Tamarjin, Phoenix, etc), people who stay at the Divi Golf under our wedding block can come visit you but you can not go to the Golf Resort. ( Please check what is included with each resort and where you have access too). We'd love to keep everyone together but understand if people choose to do different.

The all inclusive package grants you access to all of the Divi resorts (there are 5, I believe) on Aruba during your stay. Food, drinks, amenities, to include non-motorized water activities, rockwalls, etc. For the golfers, you have access to the Links after 3pm as well. https://bit.ly/DiviVillageAll-InclusiveDetails The link above has more detail as to what is and isn't included. That being said there are certain restaurants, activities and extras that are available at an extra charge.
Up to the person on what to bring but some things we've been told it would recommend are: - A tumbler/yeti style cup. If you bring this with you up to the bars they will fill/refill your drinks using them, instead of the small paper cups. - Sunscreen. Don't forget sunscreen and also Aloe just in case. - Bathing suit and towel. Though the resort may have some towels, it is better to have at least one quality one with you. - Wedding attire. Though we plan on a beach casual attire for the wedding, don't forget to pack some "dressier" outfits. Depending on places you may decide to eat there are dress codes. - Sunglasses and/or hats. - Different style of shoes. Truly depends on the person but we would recommend to bring at least a shoe you can walk awhile in and sandals. - Some cash. Aruba does accept the US bill, so no need to exchange currency. Most places take cards but it's always handy to have some cash with you.
We chose to have our wedding on the beach at Sandpiper Bar. The reception will be held at the same location. The location of the wedding is across the street from the Divi Golf Resort, on the beach of Divi All Inclusive. The Divi Golf resort provides their guests with shuttle services normally to get to and from the different locations. We will be having guests utilize those services to get to and from the wedding/after party.
We are doing a beach style wedding, at sunset/night. So beach casual attire is completely fine. But it depends on the person; You can wear cocktail attire, go dressy or casual as can be, up to you. It is later in the day so it won't be as warm and goes into the night. All in all, dress comfortably because we want you to just have a good time.
