Colorado

Colorado weather can change in an instant! September means 70F and lots of sun, but it can drop to 50F once the sun goes down or rain/wind arrives. For daytime activities, we recommend keeping extra sunscreen and water on hand. This is also the time of year fall colors start to appear in the mountains. For Rocky Mountain road trips, bring an extra layer because it can be 10-20 degrees colder than Denver.

Flight

DIA

Fly in to DEN (Denver International Airport). Advance reservations on car rentals and immediate ride shares are available. It takes ~ 45 minutes to get from the airport into the actual city of Denver. Uber/Lyft rides directly from DIA can be expensive, so we recommend taking the train (RTD A Line) to get to Union Station in the heart of downtown Denver. Finding a ride is much easier near Union Station. Download the RTD Mobile Ticketing app and select a Regional pass or purchase from a kiosk at the train platform!

Uber & Lyft

If you are not driving your own car, Uber & Lyft will be the fastest and most reliable transport options. Transport from metro Denver to the DU campus is about 25 minutes, and fares range $10-25.
