Question

What attire should I wear to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Please wear semi formal Garden Party attire! Summery colors and florals encouraged, make sure you feel comfortable as it may be warm weather.

For gifts, should we ship or bring them physically?

Answer

Since we will be traveling to Oregon, please venmo us in lieu of cash/checks or contribute to our registry online. This will help us minimize package theft, luggage, and all that jazz.

Where should I park?

Answer

Edgefield has lots of parking onsite as well as a small lot behind Blackberry hall. If a concert is scheduled for the day of the ceremony, showing up earlier in the day might be a good idea to avoid the concert crowds.

Do I have to stay at the Edgefield hotel?

Answer

Of course not, there are many great options for lodging in the nearby areas but would require a car, or you can drive up from Portland for the event and not stay overnight (just plan ahead if you anticipate drinking). Please see the Travel & Lodging tab of the website for recommended hotels!

Are there Gluten Free or Vegan food options available?

Answer

Yes! McMenamins offers several gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan food options at their onsite restaurants. Our Reception will have some gf and v options but may be good to pack snacks or a small meal prior to the event to be sure you are satisfied/have enough choices day of.

Is the venue ADA?

Answer

Yes, this spot is mainly ADA accessible including our ceremony location. You can call ahead to make sure you have parking or rooms which have this confirmed.

Are babies/small kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We would like to welcome our family and friend's children and little ones, please make sure you note the number of people in your party while RSVP as they are included in that group. We would recommend perhaps staying on site in case of diaper changes/feeding/crying so you could easily take a moment during the event if needed.

Are dogs welcome?

Answer

If your dog is ok to be left alone in your hotel room for the ceremony and reception then they are welcome. Please also make sure they are up to date on vaccinations and heartworm/flea/tick meds. You will also need to make sure you book a pet friendly room with the venue should you be staying on site. There are great parks nearby for running your dog or taking it hiking as well!

Is there a room discount for guests?

Answer

Unfortunately not, but if you book in advance or are comfortable sharing with another attendee this could help split costs. We do have a block of rooms reserved, but many will have separate bathrooms, so please book consciously if you would like a private bathroom.
