You should fly into Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, which is located 40 minutes away from Glyfada, the southern suburb of Athens where we recommend that all wedding guests stay. We refer to Glyfada as the "Santa Monica" of Athens, as it is 30 minutes from the center of Athens/downtown. It's right along the sea :)
The easiest way to travel from the USA, post-COVID, is through Amsterdam or Paris, or if you're lucky enough, from Chicago straight to Athens. As such, we recommend that you check flights with Air France, KLM, or American Airlines.
The easiest way to travel around Athens is via Uber. At the airport in Athens, it is easy to buy a SIM Card for 10 euros from Vodafone with 6 GB of data, which we highly recommend doing, so the taxis outside of the airport don't take advantage of you.
We recommended 4 different hotels (see below) in Glyfada that are all a 15-minute drive away from the Church and the Reception venue.

This hotel is one of the top rated in Glyfada. All restaurants and beach bars are within a 15 minutes walk. Our church and the wedding venue are just a 15 minute drive from this hotel.

Nice hotel across from the beach. Great for folks that don't mind a 20 minute walk along the coast to the bars and restaurants in Glyfada. This hotel is just a 6 minute drive to the Church and a 7 minute drive from the reception at Ble Pavillion.
