FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jessica Soltys and Matthew Grizil
Question

1. When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will take place on Thursday May 21, 2026 at Barcelo All-Inclusive Resort, located on the beautiful beaches of Aruba. We'll be saying our vows with the ocean as our backdrop, and we can’t wait to have you there with us!

Question

2. What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

For a beach wedding, we suggest light and comfortable clothing that’s both casual and stylish. Dresses, linen suits, and lightweight fabrics are ideal. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable footwear like sandals for the sand. A shoe valet will be available if you choose to join us barefoot. The beaches in Aruba can be a bit windy, so keep that in mind when choosing your outfit!

Question

3. Is there a backup plan if it rains?

Answer

We’re hoping for sunny skies, but in case of rain, the venue has a backup indoor space ready for us. We’ll keep you updated on the day if any changes are needed.

Question

4. What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

TBD

Question

5. What’s the weather like, and what should I bring?

Answer

In May, Aruba’s weather is warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from the low 80s to mid-90s°F (28-34°C). It can be breezy, especially on the beach. For the wedding, we recommend light, breathable clothing like dresses or linen suits, sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable sandals or flip-flops for the sand. Bring a light sweater for the evening, as temperatures can cool slightly. Stay hydrated and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Question

6. Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’ve sent invitations to our closest family and friends, and if you’ve received an invitation for a plus-one, please feel free to bring them along. Let us know if you plan to bring a guest by the RSVP date.

Question

7. What’s the dress code for the reception?

Answer

The reception will be relaxed but still festive. Feel free to keep the beach vibe going with casual attire, but if you want to dress up a little for the party afterward, go ahead! Comfortable shoes are recommended, especially since we’ll be on the sand.

Question

8. Are there any activities or events for guests before or after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We’re planning a Welcome Party on 5/20/2026 and would love for you to join us. We’ll also have some group activities and excursions available for guests who want to explore the area during the weekend. Keep an eye out for updates on our itinerary!

Question

9. Do I need to bring a gift?

Answer

First of all, Thank you! Since we are doing a destination wedding, we absolutely do not expect gifts from you. If you do feel like donating to our wedding and married life, we would prefer cash gifts because our home is already filled with love. You can venmo gifts to: @Jessica-Soltys @Matt-Grizil

Question

10. Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome to attend our wedding! However, as this will be a relaxed, adult-focused celebration, we kindly suggest considering whether bringing little ones is the best option for you. We want all our guests to enjoy the ceremony and reception, and sometimes it’s easier for everyone to fully enjoy the event without distractions.
