FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Summer formal is requested. This would be suits and ties requested for the fellas. Cocktail dresses, long dresses, dressy jumpsuit or pantsuits requested for the gals. The event will be outdoors, so please dress accordingly. As the wedding will also be primarily on a grass lawn we recommend that women wear thicker heels, wedges or flats and avoid overly narrow heels.

Question

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony at our wedding, with the only exception being to live stream / record the wedding for Mike's family in the UK that will be unable to join us on the day. We are honored to have you all as witnesses to our vows and the beginning of our marriage. We invite you to be truly present at our ceremony, and respectfully request that all cameras and phones be turned off. Once we receive the professional images and video from our photographer and videographer after the big day, we will be happy to send them to you! Before or after the ceremony, you are more than welcome to take and/or post photos & videos on social media with the #ForeverMoore so we can look at them in the days to follow.

Question

If we are driving where should we park?

Answer

Street parking will be available throughout Sayville. We only ask that you avoid blocking any neighboring driveways.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We love your children, but we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your save the date / wedding invitation. We thank you for your understanding.

Question

What Covid-19 precautions are in place?

Answer

We ask everyone be mindful of others in the weeks leading up to the wedding and test before traveling. We can't enforce this, but we hope everyone will take the safety of others seriously. If you are feeling unwell, and are unable to make it, please let us know when you can. We of course want everyone to prioritize their and everyone else's well being. If you feel uncomfortable attending a larger event during these times, we understand if you choose not to join us and won't love you any less. Please just RSVP accordingly so we can maintain an accurate guest count.

Question

I didn't receive a formal invitation, am I still invited?

Answer

Yes! We are only sending out physical save the dates (which hopefully will be gracing your refrigerator) and managing the RSVP process digitally. which if not available now, will be soon. Please check back here for any final updates as we approach our special day.

Question

I don't see a registry but would like to give a gift?

Answer

We have had the fortune of spending the last few years living together and as a result have very little need for any physical gifts. In order to avoid unnecessary processing fees, we are also forgoing the use of any HoneyFund type of services, and would simply prefer cash, checks or similar means to put towards our honey moon, future travel or other experiences.

Question

When will food be available?

Answer

To give everyone as much time to dance and mingle as we can, we are doing a continuous cocktail hour following the ceremony. Everything will be passed apps and a few service stations up until the end of the reception.

Question

For those heading back over to Fire Island, will there be transportation?

Answer

We are looking to organize a water taxi or two to help those who are hoping to get back to Fire Island on Friday night after the after party. Time, pick up and cost are all TBD. Please indicate in the RSVP if you will need the ride so we can get an accurate head count and cost.

Question

For those from out of town who are looking to head over to Fire Island, what should we do with our luggage?

Answer

We will hold Fire Island luggage at the house so that getting on the water taxi is nice and easy.

Question

If we want to join you on Fire Island for the weekend, where should we stay?

Answer

We would love for you to be there with us! We will be in Ocean Bay Park. There is a hotel in our town called the Fire Island Beach House. Houses are also rentable through realtors, Airbnb or VRBO for larger groups.
