Our mutual friend (shoutout Riv!) introduced us to each other, and we took a painstakingly long time to decide we were dating. What can we say, we were having fun! It was the summer of 2016, we were listening to "Closer" by The Chainsmokers absolutely non-stop, and we fell in love over post-sushi naps, couch naps, and ill-advised after-dinner naps.
Without communicating who would propose first, we knew the odds of us proposing at the exact same time were high. Neither of us wanted to steal the spotlight from the other, so it was agreed that Brittney would propose first. Brittney found the perfect bench to propose amongst the aromatic flowers in Portland's International Rose Garden. Of course, Sarah immediately said, "YES!"
The story of roses continued in Sarah's dream of proposing too. On a perfect Saturday morning, with the perfect cup of coffee, a dozen perfect red roses, and the perfect ring in a rose-shaped box, Sarah proposed on the patio at home. Brittney responded, "Well obviously!"
