What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear semi-formal dress/formal dress/cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In April, South Florida experiences mild temperatures —not too hot, not too cold. However, the weather can be bipolar at certain intervals therefore still walk with a jacket, umbrella, etc.

The Ceremony is being held at St. Clement Catholic Church 2975 N Andrews Ave, Wilton Manors, FL 33311

The reception is being held at Sunrise Civic Center Grand Ballroom 10610 W Oakland Park Blvd, Sunrise, FL 33351

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be hosting a cocktail hour.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Yes. The theme is traditional, with a mix of modern and a sprinkle of Caribbean pizzazz (Trinidadian and Dominican). The wedding colors are black, ivory, rose gold, and burgundy.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. Additionally, if you are not able to attend due to pandemic reasons, the wedding will be live streamed. Stay tuned for details.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is ample parking both at the church and the Civic Center Grand Ballroom. Parking is FREE at both locations.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Only those coming from Out of the Country with no other childcare alternatives will be allowed to bring their kids.

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

The RSVP deadline is January 31, 2022. Yes you can RSVP on the wedding website.

Unfortunately no. But we will provide you with a list of affordable transportation options.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Unfortunately, the centerpieces belong to the decorator and have to be returned at the end of the event.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

es, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #Solange&JovanyOrBust, so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
