If you're staying near us in Arvada, Olde Town is within walking distance of your hotel! Almost since Day 1, Olde Town has been our go-to spot for final exam cramming, coffee, shops, impromptu date nights, sweet treats, and generally good vibes. Some standouts include Lady Nomada and Teocali for margs and Mexican, Homegrown for 'Za, Stone Cellar for a fancy meal, Hudson Bay or Blue Grass for coffee, and Arvada Tavern or Marmalade for solid cocktails.
You know what to do Ponyboy. One-stop shop for food, drinks, shops, and Coors Brewery.
Pro Tip: search for "Upper North Lot" to skip the stairs (trust us, you'll thank us). Even though the Red Rocks season is coming to a close in November, you can still check out the best concert venue in the world. Even without the music, the views are still incredible. Overachievers should catch the sunrise on the rocks! Get there well before 1pm to make sure you can see the rocks. The park is FREE during the day. Checkout the museum in the top plaza, and get your merch at the Trading Post. 🤙
Top 5 Craft Brewery in Denver 🙌 10 minutes from Arvada.
Tennyson Street is another place we've spent loads of time over the years from the very start. It's close to where we met at Regis, home to Bill Murray's favorite golf course, and another great spot for boutiques, food, and drinks. Standouts include Parisi for some of the best Italian in Denver, Atomic Cowboy for late night drinks and cheap pizza the size of your head, CallYourMother for Jew-ish bagels, Mob and Huckleberry for coffee, FlyteCo Brewing, and Swing Thai for...yeah, Thai food.
If you're planning a longer trip for the wedding, consider adding Rock Mountain National Park to your itinerary! Mountains, Moose, Elk, Lakes, Waterfalls, Haunted Hotels, what's not to love? RMNP takes you north through Boulder, and eventually into Estes Park. Estes is a great spot for shops or a bite before heading into the park. Fun fact: Estes is also home to the Stanley Hotel which was the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining." Estes and RMNP have a huge elk population you're almost guaranteed to see if you visit. Plan for a 1h30m drive to Estes Park, and 2-3 hours to explore RMNP. Check the NPS website for more visit info and make sure to grab an entry pass!
