Tyler and Sofi met during their Freshman year at Regis University. They both lived in DeSmet, easily the nicer of the two Freshman dorms (IYKYK). Not only did they live in the same dorm, they lived on the same floor. Depending on who you ask, Tyler and Sofi both have different versions of the story of how they met, but they can at least agree that things really sparked between them in October 2015. Probably. Then after 6 months of study, hiking, and "date" dates Sofi (not Tyler) had to ask “so what are we?” Tyler, who at the time lacked the secret mind-reading skills he'd eventually learn as a therapist, still didn’t get Sofi's hint, and though they’d go on to call themselves a couple from then on, he never *officially* asked Sofi out. So technically, he really just skipped the dating stage, strung Sofi along, and went straight to the engagement. But, whether they were officially, technically, dating or not, things worked out. On New Year’s Eve 2022 over tapas and champagne, Tyler asked Sofi to help him start off the New Year “the right way.” He proposed, skipping the dating stage altogether if you’re keeping track, and Sofi said “yes, of course!” So, moral of the story? When it mattered, Tyler asked the question that REALLY counts, and now Sofi and Tyler both look forward to answering a few more important questions in November when they say "I do!"
